Tooth whitening solutions
Discoloration or stains on the teeth can spoil an otherwise winning smile. It happens when the enamel of the teeth takes on a different shade from that of the teeth’s natural colour. In addition to the fact that many people have a genetically darker shade of teeth, discoloration of the teeth can also occur as a result of lifestyle factors, such as smoking, drinking coffee or tea, or taking any food or beverage product which contains some staining substance.

The Remewhite system is a gentle and effective solution for removing stains and discoloration while not harming the gum tissue at all. Most modern whitening procedures require protection for the gum (a special shield applied to the gum to avoid damage to the tissue) against the effects of strong peroxide concentration; the Remewhite system, however, will not cause harm even without gum protection, while restoring the natural shining whiteness of the teeth.

The BriteSmile whitening system is an effective modern procedure, using a whitening gel and a special light. The translucent bleaching gel is applied to the teeth, then the special light is used to activate the gel and whiten the enamel. The length of the treatment is determined by the discoloration level of the teeth. For the best result this procedure may be followed by the use of a home whitening kit.
